What Is A Septic Tank Baffle?  Every septic tank has some basic form of baffle.  A baffle is a name given to any object inside the septic tank that separates the solids from the liquid effluent. Most septic tank baffles only offer a very basic form of separation, and in time fail to function.  Because of this, solids are discharged into the soakaway and eventually block it up.

What Is A Septic Tank Filter? The septic tank bristle filter serves to protect the soakaway 100%, by completely separating the solids from the liquid effluent.  It is very easy to install and adds another 30 years to the life span of your soakaway.  If your septic tank does not have a septic tank filter then we advise you to fit one as soon as possible.

How To Install The Septic Tank Filter? Simply insert the filter into the t pipe, or any of the pipework that is in between the septic tank and soakaway.  For example if you have an inspection chamber, then open the lid, and insert the septic tank filter into one of the pipes.
